Our Story

Mission Statement

The mission of The LOT Project is to be a platform for the body of Christ to love, pursue, and provide for the “least of these” both physically and spiritually

Vision Statement

We are The Least Of These Project. It is not only our vision, but it is our determination to see people who have been abused, neglected, angry, and oppressed be vindicated as we have been by the love of Jesus Christ. Food and Clothing is our vehicle whereby all who are searching may find life and freedom.

History

Who would have thought that this whole thing would have started with one guy with a car, and one kid who wanted to go to church. The guy’s name was Matt Beasley and he was the founder of the organization we now know as The LOT Project.

The LOT Project was founded in March 2009 and is located in Anderson, SC. LOT is an acronym that stands for the “Least of These” based on Matthew 25:40. Our passion is not only to meet the needs of those in our community who are hurting, abandoned, and broken, but also provide a platform for the body of Christ to use their creativity to serve and have the freedom to develop new opportunities for service.HOPE is the main program geared to meet the physical needs of the inner city in Anderson. We want to meet their short term needs through food and clothing, but most importantly, The LOT Project fosters an environment where people can experience kindness and redemption.

Since HOPE was started in August 2009, we have given away more than 11,040 meals, 44,468 donated items, and over 6,871 volunteer hours.  Those numbers continue to grow every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 4 pm-6pm. Each night, our guests are provided with a plastic bag to gather shoes and articles of clothing, while one of our six partnering churches or home groups serve the meal.
