Mother Teresa once said, “I am a little pencil in the hand of a loving God writing his love [story] to the world.”

Have you ever wondered, what exactly is a story? Jesus liked to tell them a lot. A story is this strange little phenomenon that happens when the experience of our world gets knitted with our emotions, like an invisible thread looping the fabric of our heart and our head together, so the author can whisper what is otherwise indescribable truth to our soul.

The Author of Life has been whispering a great mystery in Anderson, SC, and we, The LOT Project, are his little pencil.

In the next few “chapters,” you will read different accounts of how God has changed different people’s lives through their experience at the LOT Project. Each person that comes into 302 W Market St., guest or volunteer, has one story of the experience that hooked them, that one fateful moment when they experienced who Love was.

Those are the stories we will tell. So that, as a collective voice, with each word, with each comma, with each new phrase, anyone will hear the rhythm of the heartbeat of God writing his love story to the world.
